Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BudgetWizard ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

BudgetWizard is a web-based budget planner and expense tracker available at budgetwizard.app. The Service allows you to track income and expenses, set spending categories and monthly budgets, import transactions via CSV, and view visual spending analytics.

Account Registration

To use BudgetWizard, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

Free Trial and Subscription

BudgetWizard offers a 15-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. After the trial, the Service costs $4.99 per month. Payment is processed by Polar (polar.sh), our third-party payment processor. You may cancel your subscription at any time — there are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use BudgetWizard only for personal budgeting and expense tracking purposes. You may not:

• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems

User Data and Content

You retain ownership of all financial data and content you enter into BudgetWizard. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, including any transactions imported via CSV.

Data Handling

Service Availability

BudgetWizard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service running and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance or unforeseen issues may occasionally affect availability.

Limitation of Liability

BudgetWizard is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. We do not provide financial advice, and we are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on data entered into the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the application. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at [email protected].

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the application. Your continued use of BudgetWizard after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
